The film's choice not to even mention Peaches may have been a surprising one, but hopefully Ice Age 7 will make up for her absence. For this All Access we're sitting down with the fun and talented Batu Sener to dive into his recent scores for The Ice Age Adventures Of Buck Wild and Ice Age: Scrat Tales.īatu is a young composer in Hollywood, and he has been an essential part of John Powell's music team for the past several years working as an additional composer and score producer. With her daughter gone, she'd want to keep the remaining family close. Presumably, Ellie and Manny are trying to cope with their daughter moving away, which could've helped explain why Ellie is so reluctant to also separate from Crash and Eddie. The writers likely figured it wasn't worth cluttering the film with, and potentially confusing audiences by, referring to Peaches' story since Crash, Eddie, and Buck were meant to be the main characters of Buck Wild, but it's still strange that no one even states where she might be.Īlthough it makes sense why Peaches would not be traveling with her parents and the rest of the herd in The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, it's still somewhat surprising that she isn't discussed in the movie at all. It's rather surprising that in a movie repeatedly enforcing the importance of family-as Ellie desperately tries to make sure her adopted brothers are safe-her and Manny's own daughter is never even discussed. Along with Peaches, other missing characters include Scrat, Julian, Shira, and Brooke. Since it's a spin-off, the leads of the main Ice Age films (Manny, Ellie, Sid, and Diego) only return as supporting characters in T he Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild as they search for wherever Crash and Eddie have gone.
